And the rains still came! In the top row photos, l-r, the well-doused Sigety-Greene-Milton group are shown at safari’s end while the six-member Capi-Evans-Kesten va stops for refreshments and dodges raindrops. Seven dampened guides-trackers were on hand to bid us “Farewell!” as we left Thornybush amidst rising streams surrounding the camp. Word from Skukusa: “Major countryside flooding is reported! Many bridges are down.” We hit the road in a drizzle on our last morning and noted the overflowing river beneath one bridge. We also passed several rain-induced rock slides on our highway while traveling south to Swaziland (Note the great pilfered poster!)
