On yet another Cape Town area tour, we ascended Cape Town’s nearby and very celebrated Table Mountain tourist attraction. Riding cable cars to its peak and then meandering around looking at the city, the coastline, and the interior from various observation points made for a full morning.

     While at the top we could not help but notice the many scurrying laryx, a high-altitude squirrel look-alike, that somehow manages to survive in this very barren environment. Our cable car descent proved to be just as spectacular as our ascent, and, fortunately, our visit to Table Mountain was not marred by its wearing its traditional cloud “cap.” (See the postcard at the lower right).
