Our second day took us southwest from Cape Town to the “Wine Country.” Yes, South Africa does produce many fine wines and we went there to “taste” some of them. Our first stop was at the Keemoorbeck Vineyards where we got the whole ten yards, so to speak.

This included a thorough pre-winetasting “briefing,” a close-up look at their numerous vats and their bottling operation, and the follow-on sipping and “purchase” opportunity. And there were buyers! (Charlie Sigety never misses!)

Our morning wine binge ended with a luncheon at the Lanzerac Estate (bottom row) that not so surprisingly produced their own labels for luncheon consumption and sale.
