It is with sadness that we tell you that Bob Garmezy, the byliner on this Canal Cruise website page, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2005 after battling acute leukemia. We were in the midst of completing this page when the news reached us of his death. Always accompanied by his wife, Alice, Bob was a constant '44 presence at class dinners, tailgate assemblies, and CLUB 44 cruises. His sound bite will keep him with us forever.
