It's about Planned Giving!

     As Cornellians, we have long been familiar with University clubs, organizations, fraternities, sororities, and the like. The few societies with which we had knowledge while on campus were those that recognized outstanding scholarship . . . and now we hear the term, "Cayuga Society," and may ask, "What’s it all about?"

     Plainly and simply, the Society is one that honors those who remember Cornell in their will or through a planned gift. The latter include, among other options, life income agreements, trusts, real estate with retained life use, life insurance, or contributions to the Cornell University Foundation.

     Started in 1993, the Society has 2,700 members, to include your 44 classmates who have contributed $16,566,005 through 2002 . .There is no minimum gift level if one chooses to join the Society, nor are there any membership fees or dues. Members have the option to receive a memento of appreciation, invitations to special events, and recognition through the University’s planned giving publications.
